Legendary Croc

What french apparel company is recognized by its green crocodile logo? It's Lacoste of course! RenĂ© Lacoste, the brand's founder, began selling his signature polos in the early 90's where he gained great popularity for having essential components to a preppy wardrobe. It all began in the 1920's. After some fierce matches, the tennis star earned his nickname  "the Crocodile" in the press. Thus, the idea of the of the reptilian Lacoste logo had been born. Today, he is not only remembered for once being a top ranking tennis player, but also for the grand variations of colourful sportswear he had created.

I absolutely love the preppy/sporty upscale modern looks this house creates. They have wide varieties of sport-inspired wear as well as pieces I love to wear everyday. The latest from the Spring/Summer 2012 R2W collection has me excited:

Their new dresses are spot on with this season's trends, bright reds and yellow. Lacoste has also created a wonderful tribal-inspired dress perfect for everyday wear. That last crocodile t-shirt is for my own little obsession with all things croc. I love it when they expand upon their logo and make it the focus of the garment. This is one of my favourite Lacoste shirts in my closet:
